From a very young age, Peter knew he wanted to run a business of his own – to be an entrepreneur. After finishing his education, he joined a traditional corporate accounting practice where he paid his dues and honed his professional craft – gaining experience in tax, accounting, auditing and business advice.
Ten years later, when Peter was offered a partnership with the same firm, he declined to follow his boyhood dream. Sourcing and purchasing a small practice in Windsor, Peter then set about tripling the size of the business within three years and then returned to Sydney to open another office.
2008 saw Peter merge his business with the like minded entrepreneurs at Primewealth (now
ThePrimeAdvisoryGroup). He could see the business vision of building a robust, advice-based business group where personal service was key, was the only way forward for innovative financial services businesses.
Whilst his clients often struggle with the constant legislative and market changes businesses have to be across, Peter thrives on it. He feels it keeps him "fresh and on his toes". He thrives on the thrill of a good deal. One of his favourite moments was being the client's 'wing-man' and chief negotiator during a multi-million dollar business buy-in, sale, management buy-out and final sale over a period of five years. He's still retained by that client to this day, some 10 years later.
Peter now heads the 10X Chatswood coaching business – something he feels is missing in traditional accounting/business advice practices.
He's often heard to say, "people don't work with services, they work with people. And they'd prefer to work with people they like, know and trust". Peter believes that's what
ThePrimeAdvisoryGroup really offers its clients and the myriad of client testimonials really bear this to be true.
Peter has now been helping his clients grow their business for almost three decades. "Helping a client achieve their business goals is still a huge thrill."
